If there is one scale a goldsmith needs, this is it! The CG3102GT can evaluate the purity of gold, white gold, platinum, silver, and solid ingots of other metals that weigh up to 3.1 kg and will return measurements in both percentages and karats for gold (9 - 24K) and millesimal fineness for silver and platinum (600 - 1000 ppt) without the need for drilling, cutting, or etching. Please note that any inset stones must be removed before use in order to return accurate measurements. The 3102GT is also useful for checking the average purity of scrap metal pieces, or simply for measuring mass and density. Additional features include die-cast aluminum housing, built-in clock, and RS232 interface for connecting auxiliary devices such as printers.
